Our clients have waited a year to many years to draw their coveted big game tag in the Colorado drawing system. We work hard for our clients success. We put our clients trophy interests first.

*Archery hunts must be for the max hunt days available for hunt - Sheep, Goats, Elk, and Deer. Contact us for details or questions.

Pack in/Pack Out (Check In/Check Out) Policy:

 

When you check in with your GPO guide for your scheduled hunt, that is considered your DAY 1 of your scheduled trip. When you are told by the GPO guide it is time to pack out (checking out - no exceptions on pack out), those days packing out are part of your scheduled hunt and ARE NOT in addition to the predetermined trip length. Ex: A 7 day hunt will include your check-in/packing in and then packing out (length of pack out is dependent on if animal is harvested, weather conditions, terrain, location of animal, fitness level of hunter(s), etc. and is up to discretion of the GPO guide. No exceptions). Call us for details or questions.

Guests:

Non-hunting companion(s) can accompany hunter(s) and guide at 50% of contracted hunt rate for each guest. Call us for details. We do our best to accommodate our client's family and friends. Our client's overall hunting experience is important to us.

Wilderness Units:

Any hunt that is in the updated CO wilderness units, add $1000 to the rate for each species/hunt. Any questions about the wilderness units and additional rate, please contact us.

Day Rate*:

A day rate fee may be added after the contracted hunt is over if additional time is needed to fill client's tag at the rate of up to $1000/day. If a hunter is needing assistance on a non-guided hunt by GPO, he/she may contact us to help fill the tag at $1250/day. *Day rates subject to change at discretion of GPO management.

Deposit and Payment:

We require a  $500 non-refundable reservation fee to book any big game hunt with GPO. All clients who have reserved a hunt get first priority on all guided hunts for the year. Once you draw your CO hunt, it is your responsibility go contact GPO to reserve your desired hunt. 50% of the balance is due when the reservation is made (non-refundable) and the remaining balance is due 30 days prior to the hunt beginning. * Credit Card Processing Fee 3.5% if paying by CC.

Hunters Physical Condition:

We encourage our hunters to be in the best physical shape possible when hunting with us. Hunters are encouraged to get a complete physical 90 days prior to their hunt beginning. Hunting in Colorado with our terrain and elevation can be a very physical sport.

Permits/USFS:

GPO is an equal opportunity provider/employer operating under a special use permit on the Pike, San Isabel and Araphoe National Forests. GPO is licensed #3544, bonded and insured. Guided moose, bighorn sheep and mountain goat hunts, including those to be located on the other forest service units/areas, must be requested under this permit, in addition to the normally authorized activities. All or part of this operation is conducted on public lands under special permit from the U.S. Forest Service.
